Speakers include Advisor for the Skolkovo Foundation Pekka Viljakainen, European Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn, the US Ambassador to Finland Bruce Oreck, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oleg Fomichev, Executive Director Carsten Rolle from the Federation of German Industries (BDI), and from the International Energy Agency, Director Keisuke Sadamori, for whom this is the first visit to Finland.

Inspiring programme

The Innovation Forum has a versatile programme, which is especially designed to meet enterprises’ needs and also includes an innovation contest and a matching event for one-on-one negotiations, networking and getting together with funders. Green Lappeenranta

The event is organized in one of the greenest cities in Europe, Lappeenranta. The city gets 90% of its energy from renewable sources. The venue is at Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT), the award-winning Green Campus that showcases green values and energy-efficiency.
