TNO and ITRI Launch PENROSE Shared Research Program for Additive Manufacturing

TNO launched the Penrose Shared Research Program dedicated to the advancement of next generation Additive Manufacturing for high tech, high precision, high complexity parts and products on the 10th of April in the Hannover Messe. Taiwanese non-profit R&D organization Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) is proudly welcomed by the Dutch independent research organization TNO as co-founding father of the program. The Penrose program provides partners access to a unique innovation eco-system with cutting-edge resources to foster collaboration and encourage the rapid adoption of Industrial Additive Manufacturing. ITRI is engaging in applied research and technical services.

“At TNO our mission is to connect people and knowledge to create innovation and sustain competitiveness. As with our mission, the Penrose program connects experts across the entire Additive Manufacturing value chain to promote co-creation in its purest form” said Arnold Stokking, Managing Director at TNO. “In addition, we are excited to welcome ITRI as the joint founding father of Penrose. We believe that partnering with ITRI provides a stronger foundation for the Penrose program and reinforces the relationship between our institutes.”
Dr. Shuo-Hung Chang, ITRI’s Vice President and General Director stated, “We are proud to act as the joint founding father in the Penrose program. Not only does the knowledge base and experience of ITRI and TNO complement each other, the Penrose program expands the important collaboration between industrial partners in Europe and Taiwan.”
